Healthy person definition : Complete health for me

If a person is having Vat (Wind), Pitta (Fire) and Kapha (Water) in equilibrium, normal digestion power, 7 dhatus (elements/tissues) in correct amount [7 Elements are: Plasma, blood, tissues, fat, bones, bone marrow and reproductive tissues], normal urination and excretion, perfect 10 senses (10 senses are: ears, nose, eyes, skin, taste, rectum, genital organs, hands, legs and tongue), healthy mind and happy soul.

It looks little confusing but it is the real definition for a healthy person. We will describe all the factors that makes a person completely healthy.

1. Role of Vat, Pitta and Kapha in our body:

You want to know, what is the role of Vat, Pitta and Kapha in our body?

According to Ayurveda there are 3 types of basic energy and universal principles called doshas, they are Vat, Pitta and Kapha. These are the building blocks not only of our body but also whole universe.

Each one of us have different amount of wind, fire and water ratio in our body. Changes in ratio of Vat, Pitta and Kapha is the reason for all mental status, physical appearance, moods and health problems.

If these vat, pitta and kapha got imbalanced then our body get diseases and sudden changes. So vat, pitta and kapha should be in equilibrium for a healthy person.

2. What is Normal digestion power:

All the diseases start from our stomach or abnormal digestion power. So, what is digestion?

Digestion is the process in which our body converts large insoluble food into soluble food molecules. Digestion time varies for every individual person, it may take 6-8 hours to pass through stomach and small intestine. After that food enters large intestine for rest process of digestion and remaining indigestible food stored for excretion.

A healthy person has a normal digestion power, means their digestion process should not be very slow or very fast. In simple words, proper digestion is very important for us.

3. Balanced amount of 7 Elements in our body:

A healthy person should have a balanced amount of these 7 elements (Plasma, blood, tissues, fat, bones, bone marrow and reproductive tissues) in his body.

These elements play very important role in our body. We will get problems and diseases in our body if any one of element will not work properly.

You need to understand 7 dhatus(elements) to understand human pathology, and what is going wrong in our body.

4. What is normal Urination and Excretion:

A healthy person should have a proper functionality of urination and excretion. Every normal person should urinate a proper amount with not more or less frequency in a day. A normal person should urinate 0.5L-2L per day, if drinks 2L or more fluid, but it varies for every individual or according to climate.

In simple words, healthy person urinates not more or less without having any problem in urination.

A normal person goes to bowel at least once in a day and not goes often in a day. In simple words, healthy person goes to bowels 1-2 times a day without any problem in passing bowels.

5. Functionality of 10 senses in human body:

I hope you all heard about five senses but today you will know there are ten main senses in our body.
A healthy person should have all the ten senses (ears, nose, eyes, skin, taste, rectum, genital organs, hands, legs and tongue) perfectly functioning.

Perfect Senses makes a person perfectly healthy because ten senses play a specific role for any human in their body and very important to live life properly.

If any of this sense doesn’t work properly then our body is not normal.

6. Definition Healthy Mind:

A healthy mind perform following tasks perfectly: memorizing, imagination, relate things, learning, understanding and much more.

It is related to mental health; a person should have normal functioning mind.

A healthy person’s mind should be stable and relax with correct functionality if required.

7. Meaning of Happy Soul:

Happy soul is one who just focus at changing our self, not the world, who accept others as they are and always find something good in everything.

Our soul should be happy to achieve complete health.

Conclusion:

We all want good health and try a lot of things to achieve good health, but we can’t get our dream health. If you really want to be healthy then try to make balance in all these factors and make sure all of them should work properly.

  1. This is certainly one perspective on how define a healthy person. Population-based research looking at how adults adapt to diverse health contexts shows that there is one pattern these adaptive actions take that are associated with many indicators of “optimal health” such as low rates of health risk, low rates of diagnosed disease, high levels of physical and mental health status. Those whose behavior conform to this pattern are the ones seen as the healthiest people. One thing these optimal-health people fail to realize when attempting to lead and coach others is that most people follow a different pattern that is just as resistant to change as their own.
